How does a society end up warm and welcoming, or cold and lonely?
Giving Nation, a project of the Citizenship Foundation, is an independent national initiative that celebrates the power of young people, encouraging them to reshape their world through giving to others.
In its first year Giving Nation reached over half of all secondary schools across the UK and in 2003 more than 400 of those took part in the first ever G-Week.
The schools-based programme was designed to support the teaching of the citizenship curriculum, providing teachers with free resources that promote charitable activity, decision-making and reflection.
