Youth Act training for young people
Youth Act supports groups of young people working with adults who want to achieve social or political change in their school, youth club or community.
Offering evening and residential weekend training in the skills of problem solving, team building and cooperation, influencing decision makers, communication, fundraising and campaigning.
Youth Act aims to empower young people and adults working together to find solutions to problems in their local community and engage in active participation and action with local decision-makers to bring about a change locally.
Youth Act includes groups of young people concerned about a variety of community issues from gun crime to mobile phone theft, from ‘postcode warfare' to community cohesion.
"I feel that Youth Act has allowed us to express ourselves and have a say in society. People only see children but we are so much more, we can think for ourselves and make a difference"
Julie, Youth Act participant
