2008/2009 Competition
The National Youth Parliament Competition helps bring to life the processes of parliament, government and politics by offering young people the opportunity to set up and video their own parliamentary debate. The competition is open to 11-18 year olds. The NYPC is an accessible project which offers teachers additional support to make teaching about democratic engagement and politics an interesting, confidence-building experience.
The competition is now open, the deadline for registration this year is the 12th January 2009. Changes in the competition for this year include a completely new online resources area featuring:
- Lesson plans
- Teacher training
- Online entry
- New guides
- Online help videos
- Photos and diagrams
