Hours of work:
Friday 1st December 2017
We are recruiting a number of new Trustees to our Board, during an exciting time of change for the Foundation.
We're looking for people who have significant experience to match one or more of the following:
- A qualified senior lawyer with current experience in the solicitor's branch of the law
- A citizenship education practitioner - either within an educational or policy environment
- A senior educationalist with current experience in a school environment (head teacher, deputy or business manager)
The Citizenship Foundation is committed to equality of opportunity and diversity to reflect the full breadth of the young citizens we aim to support. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as members of the Black and Minority Ethnic Communities are currently under represented on the Board, we would particularly welcome applications.
Please send us a CV with a statement (maximum two sides of A4) about why you want to be a Trustee of the Citizenship Foundation and how you meet the requirements of the role. Please include the names and details for two referees who will not be contacted until we have your express permission. The application should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject: Trustee Application. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 1st December. Informal interviews with those shortlisted are likely to take place during the w/c 11th December or early in the New Year. The recruitment process is overseen by a Board Working Group chaired by Susan Simmonds, who is the Vice Chair of the Board. Please let us know if you will require any special provision as a result of any disability should you be called for interview. If you have any queries on any aspect of the appointment process, need additional information or would like to have an informal discussion, please contact Susan Simmonds email@example.com.
