Trustees and Treasurer

The Citizenship Foundation (registered charity no 801360) seeks new trustees, including a treasurer.

The Citizenship Foundation is an independent charitable company which aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law, democracy and society. We are the leading national charity focusing particularly on providing curriculum resources and participation and social action opportunities to develop young people’s citizenship skills, knowledge and understanding both in and out of school.

Total income in 2005/6 was approx £2.4m and we have some 30 staff. We are based in London and work nationally and internationally.

Who we are looking for 

We want to recruit a minimum of three further Trustees, including a Treasurer and trustees with experience of the media, fundraising, youth participation and reaching the socially excluded.
