Giving Nation Challenge

Make a difference...Go Local..Go National...Go Global!

The Giving Nation Challenge is a youth social action programme taking place in over 550 secondary schools nationwide. This fun yet practical programme gives young people (ages 11-16) the opportunity to be active, responsible citizens whilst developing a range of skills.

For schools:

Up to 200 young people in every participating school are given the opportunity to take action on an issue or cause they feel passionate about by setting up their own social enterprise, campaign or charity fundraising activity to address it. Each class competes with the next to raise awareness and funds for the issues they care about.

Easy to follow curriculum-based learning resources are available for each school to run the programme plus a FREE grant of up to £450. Our schools raised over £300,000 last year for their chosen charitable causes or to address community issues as a result of taking on the Giving Nation Challenge.

For business:

Businesses and local employers can be matched with their nearby secondary schools to support the Giving Nation Challenge and make a real difference in their local community.

Employee volunteers are placed into the classroom to act as business advisors and support students in setting up their own social enterprise or charity project to address an issue they feel passionate about. Each volunteer will receive training and support in order to work with young people in a school setting.
