Back on Track: response to DCSF consultation (July 2008) 

In 2008, the UK government's 'Back on Track' white paper looked at reforming Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and other alternative provision.

Our response looked specifically at the minimum core curriculum entitlement that young people in PRUs should have access to.

We recommended that this provision should be a reduced national curriculum to ensure continuity across education, especially given that the ultimate aim for young people in alternative provision was to reintegrate them into the mainstream.
