Pakistan workshop with Youth Act activity
An Active Citizens workshop in Pakistan uses an activity from our Youth Act programme

At the time of writing (April 2015), Active Citizens has trained and inspired more than 60,000 community activists around the world, including the Czech RepublicPakistan and Sri Lanka.

The programme is now manditory for all universities in Pakistan. 300 trained facilitators will start grass-roots social action projects through the universities.

The Citizenship Foundation plays a lead advisory role, developing materials and delivering training.

Active Citizens uses concepts and approaches developed in London as part of our Youth Act programme. Youth Act helped marginalised groups to raise their voices in civic campaigns to improve their local areas.

This groundbreaking work has supported learning and action for young citizens globally since 2008.
